The Cherry Blossom Festival SoCal is making a commitment to help with the rebuilding efforts and to keep alive the need that Japan has for help and resources. It is happy to announce its CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL REBUILD JAPAN – 10,000 CRANES, which will be a part of the annual festival for the next several years.
For every $1, you can adopt an Origami Crane, which you sign or write a message of hope. Once we reach 10,000, it will be created into an art piece that will be used annually at the Cherry Blossom Festival for Japan Rebuild Fundraising - we are committed to do this annually for the next 5 years at the festival.
Collecting the funds for the Japan Rebuild - 10,000 cranes will be Bryan Takeda, West Coast Program Director for the U.S.-Japan Council (www.usjapancouncil.org)
As we are able to have 10,000 cranes adopted for the Japan Rebuild Effort, we will heighten our goal to the next 10,000 cranes and hopefully, in the next few years, raise it to beyond 100,000 cranes adopted by the Cherry Blossom Festival. |
